First, the learning skills and software that can be used on the computer are, Online Encyclopedias like Wikipedia, Webster’s Dictionary, and Search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Wikipedia is free to use, and it has thousands of articles to search for various of topics to learn about. Secondly, every once in a while, everyone should backup their files, photos, and music to keep them safe. You can use a physical hard drive or USB flash drive There are online Cloud computing services like iCloud, Mega.nz, and Google Drive. You can restore your files after backing them up if your computer gets corrupted or if you get a new computer. Productivity consists of many different things, email, calendars, and text editing. Microsoft Word Has been around for many years and it’s still the best word processor for typing notes and documents.
The cons that I believe for computers are Malware, Hackers, and Pricing. First off, there are many different types of viruses and malware that can harm and affect a computer. Some are Trojans, Worms, and Spyware. For example, a Trojan can be a deadly malware that is hidden in a program that looks legit. For instance, a program disguised to be a virus remover, but it’s really malware itself. A driver updater can also have malware and spyware also. You have to make sure you download your computer drivers from verified sites. Secondly, Hackers; they are very dangerous to your computer and the information it contains. They can remotely or personally get into your personal data and steal your bank account and pin numbers, purchase items from stores using your name or social security number, apply for purchases that require a credit check, or many other dangerous things. Lastly, computers can be very expensive for people who are on a tight budget. Gaming laptops are usually the most expensive, costing $900 or more. MacBook Pros usually cost in the $1000 range. A normal desktop or laptop are more reasonably priced.
In conclusion, computers and software are very remarkable pieces of technology. They have tons of uses and many features that are amazing to everyone today now.
